Liberals looking for a way to oust President Donald Trump from the White House are leaving no stone unturned.
A House Democrat is forming a “working group” to look into the 25th Amendment of the Constitution intimating that Trump may be mentally unstable.
The provision allows for the replacement of the president of the United States in the event of incapacitation.

Rep. Earl Blumenauer wrote an opinion piece stating that the amendment, which was ratified after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, has a “fatal flaw” that has to be addressed.

The Oregon Democrat wrote:
The erratic behavior of Donald Trump has raised new questions about his mental and emotional capacity to discharge the tremendous burdens of the most powerful position in the world. It is the president who has the ability to launch nuclear weapons, unleashing untold devastation on the world. Presidents can create diplomatic chaos or move markets with the most carefully crafted declarations, let alone late-night tweets with the grammar and misspellings of a fifth-grader and decidedly unpresidential tone.
Blumenauer, who has represented a Portland district for 20 years, argued that “in the case of a president who is suffering from mental illness and is emotionally unstable or irrational, there is no fail safe to prevent him or her from simply firing the entire cabinet to prevent the application of the amendment.”
The congressman suggests the formation of a bipartisan panel of lawmakers and former presidents who can make the determination if a sitting president is capable of serving.

“For a mentally unstable, paranoid or delusional president, the 25th Amendment has no guarantee of its application. In fact, it’s likely that it would fail,” Blumenauer said, speaking on the House floor Wednesday, according to The Hill.
“I submit that the best fail-safe to a president who is emotionally unstable would be to impanel our previous presidents and vice presidents to make that determination,” he said.

Although he did not say openly say Trump has a mental disorder, Blumenauer discussed the need for procedures to protect against any leader who does.
“We’ve made real progress with mental illness,” Blumenauer said. “We’re making real strides in terms of treatment and acceptance. But all of this requires access to help. And this drama should not play out with somebody whose fingers are on the nuclear buttons and whose every pronouncement can unsettle diplomatic conditions, affect war and peace, and the global economy.”
