Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren loves to play the race card — using other people’s races.
Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., said Warren needs to stop using her family’s name to race-bait and grandstand politically.
“It’s almost like a bait and switch, to stir up the emotions in the name of King — [and] play the race card, which she was attempting to do,” Alveda told Fox Business News.
Alveda King scolded Warren for reading a letter written by Coretta Scott King (the late wife of Martin Luther King Jr.) to accuse President Trump’s Attorney General Jeff Sessions of being racist.
Warren was shut down and silenced by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for impugning a fellow senator in violation of Senate rules. Warren has since exploited the incident to portray herself as a free speech martyr.
In a letter she wrote more than 30 years ago, Coretta Scott King protested Jeff Sessions’ nomination for a federal judgeship.
Alveda King — a vocal supporter of President Trump — said if her aunt were alive today, she likely would’ve supported Sessions’ nomination for attorney general.
“She would agree today that he, of course, ended some school segregation and worked to prosecute members of the KKK,” Alveda said.Maxine Waters campaign pays her daughter $750,000 as she slams Ivanka’s UNPAID job with dad.
King is disgusted by leftists who use her family name to push divisive identity politics. “Our family — we are peacemakers, we bring people together,” King said. “We do not divide people.”
Elizabeth Warren has been widely mocked for claiming she’s part-Cherokee. Warren cited her “high cheekbones” as proof of her bogus claim (you can’t even make this stuff up).
Critics say Warren used her fake Native American heritage to benefit from affirmative action hiring programs that should have benefited ACTUAL minorities. Exhaustive investigations have turned up no evidence that “Faux-cahontas” is even remotely Native American.
