Trump rips Nordstrom for dropping Ivanka’s clothing line – stock drops, people scream ethics violation

President Donald Trump lashed out at Nordstrom for its decision to stop carrying his daughter Ivanka’s brand of clothing.

“Ivanka has been treated so unfairly,” the president tweeted on Wednesday, calling the move by the retailer “terrible!”

The department store chain cut ties with the line of clothing and accessories last week, citing poor sales performance. Of course, for those supporting the #GrabYourWallet campaign aimed at boycotting anystore carrying the Trump brand, it was cause for celebration.

Trump’s tweet had an immediate effect on Wall St. as shares of the retailer fell 0.7 percent after the post, according to Reuters.

Meanwhile on Twitter, the debate raged over whether the President of the United States should be tweeting about his daughter’s business or, as a protective father, he should call out her unfair treatment.
