President Trump‘s move to drain the swamp is receiving high marks from his supporters.
Trump fired acting Attorney General Sally Yates hours after she sent out a memo instructing the Department of Justice to not defend the president’s temporary travel ban.
Stephen Miller, senior policy adviser to Trump, said the firing was justified because Yates was insubordinate and refused to do her job.

“What’s unprecedented here is that the Justice Department would refuse to enforce a lawful federal order for political reasons,” Miller told Tucker Carlson Tonight. “That is dangerous to our constitutional system.”
Miller added: “The core power of the federal government on immigration is its right to deny entry to any alien at any time if it believes that to be in the national interests and national security interests of the United States.”
Dana Boente, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia — an Obama appointee — will replace Yates until Senator Jeff Sessions is confirmed.
As if on cue, anti-Trumpers blasted President Trump and hailed Yates as a hero.
He had Sally Yates fired because she has more balls than ALL of them! #RoastofSteveBannon #SallyYatesIsAHero

When given the choice between collaborating with a fascist leader & losing her job, AG Sally Yates chose to follow her values. Round of 👏🙌!

Senator Ted Cruz — a Harvard Law School graduate who has argued 9 cases before the U.S. Supreme Court — trashed Holder and Yates, saying Trump did the right thing by draining the swamp.
It is fitting–and sad–that the very last act of the Obama DOJ is for the acting AG to defy the newly elected POTUS https://t.co/JiUCizK3bu pic.twitter.com/20Ph4lZRVh

Many others on Twitter supported President Trump’s decisive action.
If Sally Yates disagreed with her boss, Pres. Trump, the proper course of action is to resign. Staying to get fired is grandstanding.
