Anti-Donald Trump protesters rioting after last week’s inauguration thought they were making a bold statement against capitalists by burning a limousine.
Except they weren’t.
The only thing they accomplished with the move was to cost a Muslim immigrant his livelihood.
Apparently the limo that got torched after inauguration is owned by a Muslim immigrant; driver was Latino, got hurt. https://t.co/UsEU5SyiIB

Muhammad Ashraf, who owns Nationwide Chauffeur Services and the limousine that was torched by protesters in downtown Washington on Inauguration Day, said the damage could cost his company $70,000, according to Red Alert Politics.

@dcexaminer but hey, they showed those bloody capitalists, Goldman Sachs types…

“I have a different point of view,” Ashraf told Red Alert, explaining that he was not a Trump supporter. “I did not agree with many of the things he said, but that still does not give me the right to go and affect someone’s livelihood.”
The 58 year-old driver of the limousine, Ashraf’s employee, Luis Villarroel, ended up at the hospital due to cuts from broken glass. Rioters pounded on the car, hurling stones and bricks in his direction after Villarroel dropped off a client in the area, according to Red Alert.
I didn’t realize they actually attacked the limo when there were still people inside it. These jerks put the driver in the hospital. https://t.co/hKC2ilqoNI

“[We’ve] been in business for over 25 years and this is the first time this has happened,” Ashraf said, noting the medical bills for his driver as well as the $70,000 for the vehicle if insurance doesn’t cover riots.
Ironic how a a Muslim immigrant was negatively impacted by the same protesters who slam President Trump for what they see as anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant policies.
But other Americans stepped in to make a positive difference, setting up a GoFundMe page to help Ashraf and his company.

When I saw limo aflame, first thought was “that’s someone’s livelihood.” Driver hospitalized. https://t.co/dgOK33eQOF

Ashraf told Red Alert that any money left after paying for the car and medical expenses for his employee will go to charity.
Twitter users lit their own fire in tweets mocking the rioters and denouncing the senseless act.
