President-elect Donald Trump will be using two Bibles when he is sworn into office on Friday, one of them from his childhood.
The family Bible, with his name etched onto the cover, was given to Trump by his mother as he completed Sunday Church Primary School in New York, according to The Hill.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee confirmed Tuesday that the president-elect would take the oath of office using his childhood Bible as well as the Lincoln Bible, the Bible used by President Obama at his 2009 inauguration.

“In his first inaugural address, President Lincoln appealed to the ‘better angels of our nature,’” committee chairman, Tom Barrack, said in a statement. “As he takes the same oath of office 156 years later, President-elect Trump is humbled to place his hand on Bibles that hold special meaning both to his family and to our country.”
Vice President-elect Mike Pence will be sworn in using a Bible once used by former President Ronald Reagan, ABC News reported. The Bible, not used since Reagan himself was sworn into office, will be open to II Chronicles 7:14, the same passage used at the former president’s inauguration.

Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas will administer the oath to Pence while Trump will be sworn into office by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.
