‘Poison pill from Obama’: Judicial Watch says new FBI probe is a flatout favor to Clinton, grenade to Trump

Despite former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton being the creator of her own legal problems, the Obama administration continues to cover for her.

Now it’s going after — the FBI?

Rather than investigate Clinton for her cavalier practices placing America’s secrets in jeopardy, the Department of Justice inspector general chose instead to launch a probe late last week into FBI Director James Comey‘s handling of his own Clinton investigation during a heated presidential campaign.

The conservative government watchdog group Judicial Watch was instrumental in breaking the story of Clinton’s use of a private email server. During his appearance on Fox News Channel’s “America’s News HQ,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton called the probe — launched one week before the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump — little more than “a favor for the Clinton camp.”

Fitton added that inspectors general are political appointees subject to political motivations.

“It seems a political decision to announce the investigation just before a new administration comes in,” Fitton told Heather Nauert.

“I think it’s going to make it harder for any investigations into the Clinton email matter to proceed. And it sends a signal to both the FBI and the Justice Department: If you look into the Clinton email issue, you may be subject to review,” Fitton said.

“It’s just not credible that this investigation was designed for any other reason than to provide political cover and protection for Hillary Clinton [from] the Trump administration.”

For the past couple of weeks now the Obama administration has been engaged in a back-stabbing, scorched earth policy punishing its perceived enemies and rewarding its friends.

It began when the United States refused to veto a United Nations resolution aimed squarely at America’s only true ally in the Middle East — Israel.

It continued on this mission when it unilaterally ended the “wet foot, dry foot” policy designed to give Cuban political refugees asylum from the brutal Castro regime — a decision that no doubt had the late Fidel Castro dancing in the flames of hell.

This third knife delivered to Comey will more-than-likely lead to his ouster. President-elect Donald Trump has little latitude to react.

“For Trump, the new probe is another poison pill from the Obama White House,” The New York Post reported. “In addition to rescuing Clinton’s reputation, it aims to give the president-elect a choice among bad options.”

Comey could have avoided all this had he, at a minimum, called for a grand jury investigation into the email scandal. Instead, he listed incident after incident of Clinton’s culpability while finding no reason to recommend criminal charges in his July 5 statement.

Nonetheless, there is a glimmer of hope — albeit a small one — that the probe will result in another review of not only Clinton, but also Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s private tarmac meeting with Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton.
