The White House thinks it’s OK for entertainers to attack the president of the United States at frothy awards shows.
As long the the POTUS is a conservative, that is. White House press secretary Josh Earnest praised actress Meryl Streep for condemning Donald Trump at the Golden Globes.
Earnest claimed he hadn’t spoken to lame-duck president Obama about Streep’s unhinged rant, but called it “thoughtful”:
 I haven’t spoken to the president about her speech … She clearly was delivering a thoughtful, carefully considered message that she believes in deeply. It seemed to me to be a fairly straightforward exercise of her First Amendment rights as a citizen of the United States.

It’s no secret that liberal Hollywood loves Obama, and the feeling is mutual. In 2014, Obama awarded Streep a presidential medal of freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.
Streep — who stumped unsuccessfully for Hillary Clinton — slammed Trump as a bully at the Golden Globes and repeated the mainstream media lie that he had mocked a reporter’s disability. That fake news claim has been proven to be false.

Incoming White House counselor Kellyanne Conway hit back at Streep, asking why she didn’t speak up for the mentally disabled teen who was brutally tortured for two days:
“I’m glad Meryl Streep has such a passion for the disabled because I didn’t hear her weigh in … to give a shout-out to the mentally challenged boy who last week was tortured live on Facebook for half an hour by four young African-American adults who were screaming racial and anti-Trump expletives and forcing him to put his head in toilet water.”
Meryl Streep just got checkmated by a guy with one hand – nobody can beat his response!
