Donald Trump will dismantle many of President Obama‘s executive actions on day one.
That’s what incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer said on ABC’s “This Week” (see video).
Trump will immediately “repeal a lot of the regulations and actions that have been taken by this administration over the last 8Â years that have hampered both economic growth and job creation,” Spicer said.

Spicer didn’t specify which executive actions Trump will repeal, but the billionaire has been very critical of Obama’s actions on immigration and foreign policy, and will not wait around to peel those back. Trump previously said he plans to ask Congress to immediately repeal Obamacare on Day 1.
Spicer said Trump will bring a new vision to Washington that’s very forward-looking, including instituting a lifetime ban on serving in a foreign government after working in the Trump administration.
That will prevent a former high-level government official from working on behalf of a foreign government against the interests of the United States using inside knowledge he gained as a federal employee. Amazingly, that ban was never in place.
“It’s very forward-thinking,” Spicer said. “What we’ve had in the past is people who have looked in the rear-view mirror. This time, we’re thinking forward. If you want to serve in a Trump administration, you’re going to serve this country, not yourself.”

Spicer added that Trump will take over the @POTUS Twitter handle and will continue to tweet after he takes office.
While liberal mainstream media has been urging Trump to not tweet when he’s president, Spicer said social media gives the billionaire a quick, convenient way to communicate directly with the American people and the world — unfiltered by biased media spin.

While the media may be worried about being cut out of the loop as the purveyor of “news” to the public, Trump supporters almost universally support the idea.

“The fact of the matter is that when he tweets, he gets results,” Spicer said. “So whether it’s Twitter, holding a news conference, picking up the phone, or having a meeting, he is going to make sure that he continues to fight for the American people every single day.”
