Russian Embassy literally uses a ‘lame duck’ to mock ‘hapless’ Obama admin

It’s a new world of diplomatic communications.

Russia responded to the announcement of U.S. sanctions against the country for allegedly meddling in the 2016 election by posting a lame duck comment on Twitter.

Literally.

President Obama threw gasoline into the fire on Thursday, striking back at Russia by expelling 35 suspected intelligence operatives, and imposing sanctions on Russian intelligence services and their top officers, The New York Times reported.

Along with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s repeated denial of any interference in the U.S. elections, the Russian government fired back their response through their British embassy with the picture of a “LAME” duck and some stinging words for the Obama administration.

Perhaps future political discussions will unfold on Twitter but for now, reaction from social media users was a bit mixed.
