Looks like Jackie Evancho is getting the last laugh.
The 2010 runner-up of “America’s Got Talent” ignored the backlash when she agreed to sing the National Anthem at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, and it’s paying off in booming music sales.

Evancho’s digital and retail weekly album sales quadrupled since she was signed on to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” on January 20th, TMZ reported. Her album, “Someday at Christmas,” shot to the #1 spot on the Billboard Classical Albums chart and had to be restocked twice.
Even her 2011 album “Dream With Me” and her 2010 “O Holy Night” are enjoying the number two spot on the Billboard charts.
While some singers have pulled out of performing at the inauguration, Evancho refused to back down, even though the 16 year-old has been the target of anti-Trump critics.

“My family is kind of a big target. I have a transgender sister and so a lot of hate goes towards us,” Evancho told People. “But I also get a lot of love. So, we pay most attention to that. Sometimes we get really annoyed with the hate, everyone does, we have to admit it but we just ignore it.”
The young opera prodigy was only 10 years old when she came in second on “America’s Got Talent ” and has since gone on to perform “O Holy Night” at the 2010 National Christmas Tree Lighting and at 2012’s National Prayer Breakfast hosted by President Obama.
“I remember that I got a lot of applause and that everyone was really impressed, so I’m hoping the same thing happens,” she told People, referring to her upcoming inauguration performance which will be seen by millions.

“I feel like it’s going to be a big audience, and I love big audiences,” she said.
