Virtue-signalling libs are at it again: Criticizing others for doing the same things they do (or did).
One member of the Rockettes recently slammed Donald Trump over his alleged sexism and racism, but it turns out the Rockettes are segregation holdouts who didn’t even allow black dancers until 1987!
In a 1987 New York Times article unearthed by Mediaite, the dance troupe brags that it had broken “the color barrier” by hiring its first black dancer.
Violet Holmes, a former director of the Rockettes, had defended the all-white chorus line by saying it was artistically necessary because the dancers had to be “mirror images” of each other.

“One or two black girls in the line would definitely distract,” Holmes said (via NY Times). “You would lose the whole look of precision, which is the hallmark of the Rockettes.”

The Rockettes were founded in 1925 and went 62 years without a black dancer. Despite the longtime lack of diversity, no discrimination complaint was ever filed against the troupe.
When the Rockettes performed at the 2016 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in New York last month, only one dancer in the crew was black. No one in mainstream media even noticed.
But last week, dancer Phoebe Pearl enjoyed nonstop press coverage after whining on social media how unhappy she was that the Rockettes will be performing at Trump’s presidential inauguration.
