Christians in a small Indiana town are rejoicing after a cross was returned to its Christmas tree.
Earlier this month the ACLU had the cross removed from the Knightstown Christmas tree after threatening a lawsuit because one person complained.
The small town feared it didn’t have the funds to fight the lawsuit but, after a conference call with the ACLU, a compromise was reached, Fox News reported.
Residents of the town protested the cross’ removal and even started erecting crosses of their own.
The town brought the cross back but it was not allowed to be placed at the top. That spot now belongs to a star.
The two factions have another call scheduled for Jan. 27 to discuss the matter further.
