Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle is reportedly now being considered for the position of White House press secretary in President-elect Donald Trump’s administration.

Guilfoyle, who co-hosts “The Five,” was spotted last week at Manhattan’s Trump Tower and, according to Politico, is scheduled for a third visit, just when the transition team is expected to finish filling senior White House positions.
Others in the running for the position include Fox News contributor and talk radio host Laura Ingraham, Republican National Committee and Trump transition spokesman Sean Spicer.
Senior Trump aide and former Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway reportedly turned down the position earlier this week to focus on her family.
In what has been criticized as a mostly white male senior Trump administration, Guilfoyle brings both her gender and her latin heritage to the table.
At least one Trump insider is passionate about the idea.
“Do you want a white male representing the White House when half the country thinks the President is a misogynist?” said a Guilfoyle backer in Trump’s inner circle, according to Politico.
“Who do you want talking about immigration? A Latino” he continued. “When you have to make decisions about pro-life justices, do you want a man or a woman?”
Guilfoyle, who has been with Fox since 2006, is no stranger to politics. She was San Francisco’s first lady for two years and also served as an assistant district attorney in the City by the Bay.
At least one other Trump insider denies the claim, however. The Washington Examiner reported that a member of the Trump transition team claimed Guilfoyle isn’t under consideration for the post.
Nevertheless, the possibility stirred up interest on social media.

She’s very smart and tenacious.
Her talents would be better served as PS than @TheFive.— RJ63 (@RJMJr1963) December 15, 2016
@Charlie4Trump @dcexaminer Awesome. She was 1st and the loudest in calling out Obama for his lack of interest in protecting Americans lives.

@Charlie4Trump @SebGorka @dcexaminer wonderful! I would miss her on the Five but she would be a wonderful asset to the Trump Team!
