On a regular basis, Donald Trump picks a new cabinet member for the Democrats to be enraged about.
The most long-awaited spot for many, was wondering who will serve as Secretary of State under President Trump.
On Tuesday morning, that wait came to an end when it was reported that Chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil Corporation was tapped to take the spot.
Cue the liberal outrage:

But, thanks to WikiLeaks it could be harder, at least for Clinton and their supporters, to go after Trump for his pick. Because as it turns out, Tillerson was once a top-pick for the Clinton’s too.

Politico’s Kenneth Vogel uncovered the leaked email that stated Tillerson was being considered for a spot in the Clinton Global Initiative:
In hacked memo, the Clintons privately praised Tillerson's education advocacy, considered him for @ClintonGlobal. https://t.co/sqGK2gC4vr pic.twitter.com/RkGHOQ7LgH

As Twitchy noted, this could put a wrench in the media’s narrative that pretty much goes like this:
Sen. Jeff Merkley goes on mini-Tweetstorm against Tillerson: "An oilman shouldn't be running int'l climate policy." pic.twitter.com/uJyR0Fs1Iw

But, Tillerson is such a great guy, not only according to the Clinton’s but also to Trump:
I have chosen one of the truly great business leaders of the world, Rex Tillerson, Chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil, to be Secretary of State.

The thing I like best about Rex Tillerson is that he has vast experience at dealing successfully with all types of foreign governments.

Folks had plenty to say about Tillerson:

@kenvogel @ClintonGlobal @wikileaks Thankful Rex Tillerson didn’t get involved with Clinton Global In.

@kenvogel @ClintonGlobal @wikileaks A self made billionaire SoS would be less corruptible than a formerly ”dead broke” SoS, imo.

ExxonMobil’s’ initiative had been publicly supported by former President Bill Clinton as Twitchy reported:
“As a global technology company, ExxonMobil can make a lasting contribution by helping to identify and deploy new technologies to improve and strengthen the economic livelihoods of women,” said Rex W. Tillerson, chairman and chief executive officer. “This focus area is consistent with our own belief and experience that technology and innovation are critical to addressing many of the world’s major challenges.”
ADVERTISEMENTExxonMobil’s new initiative was announced by former President Bill Clinton at the Clinton Global Initiative’s annual meeting in New York. ExxonMobil is co-sponsoring the first-ever CGI special programming focused on investing in girls and women. Tillerson participated as a panelist during a plenary session “Investing in Girls and Women.”
