Still winning: Even anti-Trump working class voters are warming up to the President-elect

Donald Trump literally wrote the book on the art of negotiating.

So it’s no surprise that the president-elect has put his words to action by continuing to win over longtime Democrats. Many working-class Democrats are disillusioned by their party and are now willing to give Trump a chance.

“For all of my life the Democrats have been the party of the working guy, had my back,” Carrier employee Robert James told the NY Post. “But if I am being really honest — and this is tough to admit — but I can’t remember the last time they did anything to improve the dignity and value of my job.”

James is one of the 800 Carrier workers whose jobs Trump saved. James and others he knows are disgusted that Democrats have lost touch with the working-class, blue-collar population that has been the backbone of the Democratic Party for decades.

Longtime Democrat Scott Seitz and his family previously voted for Obama but voted for Trump this year.

Democratic strategist Dane Strother said Hillary Clinton‘s shocking loss and the fact that Trump won longtime “Blue States” shows the party is in crisis:

“The Democratic Party has become a coastal elitist club … We have completely lost touch with Middle America. How did we go from the party of the little man to the party of the elite?

Yes, we rightfully should protect the rights of minorities, African-Americans, Hispanics, the LBGTQ communities and we always should — but we can’t forget the rest of the country along the way.

We kept waiting for the white working class to just show up, but we didn’t give them any reason to.”

Scott Seitz is another example of a Democrat who ditched Clinton’s elitist message and embraced Trump’s championing of the working-class man and woman.

There’s one Trump SCOTUS candidate that stands out as most like Scalia, study says

Seitz and his only son of voting age voted for Obama in 2012 but this election, he and his four sons all voted for Trump (see photo above).

When the longtime Democrats were asked why they rejected Clinton, Seitz said it’s because Trump heard their cries and gave voice to their concerns:

“We put Democrats in office. And [Hillary] turned around and forgot completely about us. We are what makes this world go around.

We built the tanks and the bombs that won this country’s wars. And for you to come through and completely neglect us, we would rather have voted for anybody but her.”
