CNN’s Brooke Baldwin close to tears after liberal guest smears Bannon with N-word

A CNN host was left stunned and close to tears when a left-wing guest used the N-word during an interview segment.

Brooke Baldwin asked guest Charles Kaiser not to use the term as he bashed President-elect Donald Trump and accused his chief strategist Steve Bannon of using the slur.

“If you don’t want to support the alt-right, don’t choose as a White House counselor a man who uses the word n—er,” the combative, left-wing author said on Tuesday’s “Newsroom.”

“Wow,” Baldwin reacted and later interrupted Kaiser to say, “Charles, just hang on a second. I appreciate you going through all this, but please don’t use the N-word on my show.”

CNN commentator and Trump supporter, Paris Dennard, called Kaiser’s use of the term “highly offensive and inappropriate.” But Dennard, a black man, was then berated by Kaiser who said it was “shameful that any African-American would support” the choice of Sen. Jeff Sessions for attorney general.

As the discussion quickly began to go off the rails, Baldwin cut in, sounding emotional.

“We’re done. I appreciate both of your voices. I am still — the more I’ve sat here and listened to the fact that someone used the N-word on this show. It is not OK. It is not OK, Charles Kaiser,” Baldwin said, appearing to tear up. “I respect you, I enjoy having you on as a guest, but not OK.”

“By the way,” she added, before breaking for a commercial, “the claim that Mr. Bannon used the N-word — I’ve never heard of this. So there’s that. Take a break.”

Kaiser later apologized for his comment in an interview with the Washington Post, explaining that he mistakenly attributed the use of the slur to Bannon instead of Sessions.
