Designer who dressed Michelle O refuses to dress Melania Trump, calls on others to follow suit

The level of hypocrisy and disrespect from liberals seems to have no limit.

Fashion designers are now joining in on the protests over the election of Donald Trump, refusing to dress his wife Melania, People magazine reported.

Designer Sophie Theallet, who has dressed Michelle Obama, openly said she and her brand will be boycotting the Trumps and will not lend the incoming First Lady any of her designs.

“As an independent fashion brand, we consider our voice an expression of our artistic and philosophical ideas. The Sophie Theallet brand stands against all discrimination and prejudice. Our runway shows, ad campaigns, and celebrity dressing have always been a celebration of diversity and a reflection of the world we live in,” she wrote in an open letter posted to her Twitter account on Friday.

“I am well aware it is not wise to get involved in politics,” Theallet wrote. “That said, as a family-owned company, our bottom line is not just about money. We value our artistic freedom and always humbly seek to contribute to a more humane, conscious and ethical way to create in this world.”

Theallet, who described herself as an immigrant, encouraged other designers to join her in refusing to dress the Slovenian former model.

Apparently, other designers were already making political statements.

Bogus hit list is removed after radical liberal is exposed, but crying ‘fake news’ will be new weapon

“This has already been going on for months. Designers wouldn’t lend to Melania, Ivanka or Tiffany, so they either bought the items themselves or wore Ivanka’s brand,” sources told People.

One can only imagine the outrage if these designers had treated Michelle Obama with the same disrespect.

“I think that in two or three months [designers will] reach out, because it’s fashion,” Carolina Herrera said, according to People. “You’ll see everyone dressing Melania. She’s representing the United States.”

Perhaps the incoming First Family will not even miss designers like Theallet, who found some support among fellow liberals on Twitter. But many condemned her decision, pointing out the obvious hypocrisy.
