Katrina Pierson slam-dunks Sante Fe mayor when he tries to ‘lib-splain’ sanctuary cities

Donald Trump called himself the “law and order” candidate, and his presidency can’t start soon enough for many Americans.

Mayors of more than a dozen “sanctuary cities” across the nation vowed to defy President-elect Trump by pledging they will continue to openly harbor illegal immigrants.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel of Chicago, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, and Javier Gonzales, the mayor of Santa Fe, New Mexico, all promised their cities will continue to shield illegal immigrants after Trump vowed to withhold federal funding from sanctuary cities.

Shockingly, there are more than 200 sanctuary cities in the United States that ignore federal law by refusing to prosecute illegal aliens or report them to immigration services.

“This is a broken federal system,” Gonzales told Fox News host Megyn Kelly (see video). “People are living in our communities peacefully, lawfully. If we fix the federal immigration system, cities won’t be having to take on this position to protect our communities.”

Gonzales further claimed that sanctuary cities with large populations of illegal aliens have no more crime than other cities.

During his campaign, Donald Trump had pointed to violent crimes committed by illegal immigrants as a reason to defund sanctuary cities.

In many instances, the illegal aliens who raped or murdered Americans had been deported numerous times before returning to the U.S. illegally and taking refuge in a sanctuary city.

Katrina Pierson, former spokeswoman for the Trump campaign, said Americans have had enough of liberal deflection (see video at 10:06).

“People are tired of this!” Pierson said. “They are tired of people coming to this country, draining the resources and everything else.”

Pierson added: “We have to fight for those kids, like Jasmen Gonzalez, a 10-year-old right here in Texas who was raped, stabbed in the chest, and thrown in a ditch to die by someone who was in this country illegally. We have to protect our own citizens. If we can’t do that, then we are here for nothing.”
