Dr. Ben Carson believes a new health care plan that is coming together is a “high priority” for all Americans who have suffered under the disastrous Obamacare.
“There are millions of American families who are just getting clobbered right now,” the former Republican presidential candidate said on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom” on Thursday. “We provided health care for some people who didn’t have it but the cost of that was to make it so expensive that millions of others didn’t have it.”
The retired neurosurgeon and Donald Trump supporter laid out a blueprint of the proposed new policy, noting that Trump spoke about health savings accounts in his campaign.
Carson explained that the plans would eliminate the need for “a bunch of bureaucrats” in between patient and doctor relationships.
“What do you need for good health care? A patient and a health care provider,” Carson said. “Along comes the middleman to facilitate and that becomes the major entity dictating to the patient and to the physician. And they don’t even need to be there.”

Carson pointed to the “general agreement'” by Republicans in Congress about principles of an effective new plan, adding that the focus is to put forth a policy that is “so attractive you don’t have to cajole and force people into it.”
