Trump thanked a lot of people, but saved BIG praise for ‘superstar’ he says could be his chief of staff

President-elect Donal Trump took a few moments to thank Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus during his address to supporters early Wednesday morning

He referred to the chairman as “an unbelievable star” and a “very special person who believed [in] me” and said that “I never had a bad second with him,” despite reports to the contrary.

Joking to the crowd, he said of Priebus that “they can’t call you a superstar unless we win” and win they did.

The new president-elect ran an unbelievably lean campaign, relying on social media and interviews with news outlets to get his message out in the beginning.

The one thing he lacked — and his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, had in spades — was a ground game, and that’s where Priebus excelled.

He brought the entire GOP organization into play with its state, county and precinct workers getting out the vote for Trump.

Trump’s gesture wasn’t lost on social media.

And Priebus was delighted as well.

Trump also indicated that Priebus could be his chief of staff when he assumes office on January 20.

All-in-all not a bad lineup.
