Hillary Clinton campaign abruptly pulls plug on victory fireworks show after getting permit

Does Hillary Clinton’s campaign know something it is not admitting?

Perhaps not wanting to tempt fate, fireworks that were prematurely planned to celebrate an Election Night victory for the Democratic presidential nominee have been canceled.

The overconfident campaign was slammed by New York’s firefighters and police after it had sought a permit last week  to launch a fireworks display over New York’s Hudson River as early as a half hour after polls close on Tuesday. But it was revealed this week that the plans were scrapped, the New York Post reported.

“They do have a permit for fireworks, but at this point, we believe the fireworks is canceled,” NYPD chief of intelligence Tommy Galati said Monday at an Election Day security press conference.

When asked why the fireworks were canceled, Galati replied, “I cannot tell you that.”
