Despite Hillary Clinton blaming Russia for the WikiLeaks document dumps and slamming Donald Trump as a puppet of Vladimir Putin during the presidential debate, she was still confident she could strike a deal with the Russian nation.
“I think we could strike a deal and make it clear to the Russians and the Syrians that this was something that we believe was in the best interest of the people on the ground in Syria,” she said, referring to her promise to implement a no-fly zone in Syria.

The Democratic presidential nominee offered up what one journalist called her “cataclysmic position” even though critics have warned the move would cause open war with Russia and Syria.

Her non-answers on implications of a no-fly zone as well as her anti-Putin rant during the debate turned off many who questioned the logic of striking a deal with Russia. But then, as recent hacked emails have shown, Democrats are pretty good at deal making.
