‘Enough!’ Condoleezza Rice talks Trump and dignity, but forgets a few key things

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has joined the growing parade of Republican figures to withdraw their support for their party’s presidential nominee — Donald Trump over a lack of dignity.

She was promptly reminded how much dignity there is in losing!

Her decision was in response to the release of  sexually aggressive comments the candidate made 11 years ago during the taping of an “Access Hollywood” segment.

Rice tweeted a one-word message, together with a link to a Facebook posting she’d made.

“Enough! Donald Trump should not be President,” she said on Facebook. “He should withdraw.
As a Republican, I hope to support someone who has the dignity and stature to run for the highest office in the greatest democracy on earth.”

Reaction was strong on both sides of the issue. Diehard Trump supporters were aghast and weren’t shy about voicing their opinion that to abandon Trump at this juncture would make for a Clinton win — and another four to eight years of Democratic rule.

Those who supported Rice’s stance were equally passionate — though fewer in number.

And there were those who agreed with her position but were nonetheless disappointed that she’d waited so long to take it.

Trump indicated that he has no plans to withdraw from the race.
