Perino and O’Reilly on Trump’s crude audio: How men and women react differently is telling

Bill O’Reilly and Dana Perino debated the effects of a leaked audio of Donald Trump making vulgar comments about women and showed how perceptions differ between the sexes.

Perino, former press secretary for George W. Bush and co-host of Fox News’ “The Five” said Trump’s lewd comments about groping women in the 2005 video will hurt the Republican presidential nominee.

“It’s shockingly lewd,” Perino said on “The O’Reilly Factor” Friday. “I understand that it’s locker talk, locker room talk. I’ve never heard that kind of language spoken by a grown person who actually wants to be president of the United States.”

O’Reilly, who called the exchange “crude guy talk,” countered that Trump was not a politician at the time of the recorded audio and “wasn’t guarded in his private conversations.”

“If you want to report accurately, Donald Trump was an entertainer and businessman for many, many years,” O’Reilly said. “He engaged in all kinds of activities. He said all kinds of things.”

Perino agreed that O’Reilly’s statement was “fair” adding that she did not think the locker room talk disqualified Trump from being president.

O’Reilly pointed to the double standard of how Hillary Clinton and others have attacked Trump for remarks made in private more than a decade ago while former president Bill Clinton continues to enjoy favorable approval ratings despite sexual activities he was condemned for while in office.

Victims of the former president, Paula Jones and Juanita Broaddrick, also slammed the hypocrisy of the Clintons and other liberals in attacking Trump.

Trump noted that “Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course” in a video he issued apologizing for his remarks.
