Hillary Clinton has given up on taking the critical swing state of Ohio, according to CNN senior Washington correspondent Jeff Zeleny.
He made his assessment Sunday morning on CNN’s “Inside Politics with John King.”

“It’s been 20 days since Hillary Clinton stepped foot into this classic battleground state, and she’s not expected to visit it again in the month of September,” Zeleny told the panel. “That is a nod to the political reality they’re facing her campaign. She is struggling mightily among white voters.”
He later tweeted:
.@HillaryClinton has visited Ohio only once this month. Is it time to say ‘So long, Ohio?’ https://t.co/1MEyBTbwTU #InsidePolitics

There’s only one problem with this analysis: Ohio is one of the states Obama took in 2012.
And, observed one, Ohio isn’t the only state Clinton will fail to take — although logic would probably deem that she should.
@jeffzeleny @HillaryClinton Jeff , Fairfield, ct is even voting for trump! Lol

As for the importance of the Buckeye State for a Donald Trump win, no Republican has ever won the White House without taking Ohio, according to 270ToWin.
The beginning of the end for Clinton’s push to the White House?
