Crazy? Insane? Unreal? All these terms and more have been used to describe the 2016 election cycle.
But now there’s a new candidate that vows to put an end to all the madness once and for all.
In a hilarious and well produced “campaign ad” the “Sweet Meter O’Death” vows to come and inflict its destructive mercy upon us.
Take a look:
My campaign is rolling out a major ad-blitz & starting tomorrow you won’t be able to turn on a TV w/o seeing this pic.twitter.com/qPyWxvCrkk

The candidate’s Twitter account profiled itself with this short bio:
Candidate for president, Precambrian, Conservative, Ready to Make an Impact, Tough on Putin & Iran, I’ll probably destroy all Earthly life.
Unsurprisingly, given today’s current climate, the meteor is becoming quite popular and the ad had plenty of people weighing in:
@smod2016 I have never felt so good about my impending and merciful demise!

@smod2016 Hard-hitting on the issues that matter.

@smod2016 I’m in tears.

The happy or the sad kind?
@smod2016 Compelling. Brought tears to my eyes. Finally a candidate that supports term limits, and term elimination.

Oh…
@smod2016 Finally! A candidate willing to make a Real Impact! Please hurry!
— Stephen Curtis (@secjr112) September 6, 2016
And then there was this frightening, yet insightful reaction:
@smod2016 Our best hope for tomorrow is no tomorrow!
— Moms Against Gnus (@MomsAgainstGnus) September 5, 2016
Yikes! But mostly, folks used the ad for a chance to engage in some much needed levity.
@smod2016 INELIGIBLE! Parent asteroid not U.S. citizen! Hasn’t lived in U.S. EVAH!!!

@smod2016 I know these things are hard to arrange, but could you make impact at Washington D.C.? Just in case.

You knew that was coming!
