For some reason, Bernie Sanders didn’t just feel the need to wade into the Donald Trump / Khizr Khan controversy, but to bring up the Holocaust as well – and he used Twitter to do it.
I’m Jewish. My father’s family died in concentration camps. I will do everything I can to rid this country of the ugly stain of racism.

Lots of hate is being generated against Muslims in America. If we stand for anything we have to stand together and end all forms of racism.

Trump, of course, has fired back at the illogical hypocrisy of Khan’s public criticisms of him that started with his now famous DNC speech during which he used the 2004 death of their hero son while fighting a war, supported and voted for by Hillary Clinton, against Muslims, as a tool of emotional manipulation to criticize Trump and his policy suggestions.
In a Sunday interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, Trump referenced Ghazala Khan, Khazr’s wife and mother of slain Army captain Humayun Khan. “If you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say. You tell me, but plenty of people have written that.”
Oh, the shock, the horror that Trump would even THINK that way! The hand-wringers have been in a tizzy, because everyone knows all Muslim women are totally free to wear and say what they want, anytime they want.
And we definitely need more Muslims here in this country, as many as possible, because some of them turn out to be really good citizens and join the military.
Some of them, of course, do other stuff too.
It might not be politically-correct to mention this, but since 9/11 a total of 14 Muslim-American soldiers have died while fighting for our country. They are indeed heroes. However, when you compare that number to the 15 soldiers actually murdered by the “friendly fire” of Muslim-American soldiers/terrorists, the numbers don’t bode well.
When Stephanopoulos asked what he would say to Khazr Khan, Trump responded, “I’d say, we have a lot of issues with radical Islamic terrorism, that’s what I’d say.”
And so, with that in mind, Sanders wants to remind everyone that, apparently, opposing any aspect of Islam, a religion which consists of a stunning number of folks who are racist and antisemitic, is “racism” and may even lead to another Holocaust, or something.
Nevermind the fact that, Â “According to the Pew Global Attitudes Project released on August 14, 2005, high percentages of the populations of six Muslim-majority countries have negative views of Jews. To a questionnaire asking respondents to give their views of members of various religions along a spectrum from “very favorable” to “very unfavorable”, 60% of Turks, 74% of Pakistanis, 76% of Indonesians, 88% of Moroccans, 99% of Lebanese Muslims and 100% of Jordanians checked either “somewhat unfavorable” or “very unfavorable” for Jews.”
So, let me get this straight. By opposing the mass-entry of a population heavily-laden with anti-semites, Donald Trump is somehow going to cause another Holocaust?
What a bizarro world we live in!
