Following the second most deadly terrorist attack on U.S. soil, President Obama’s predictable response was twofold – 1.) blame guns, and 2.) speed up the Muslim refugee-intake process.
Meanwhile, loyal opposition “leader” Paul Ryan lies to Bill O’Reilly about doing something about his own state’s Somali refugee problem, then threatens to sue Donald Trump if he blocks Muslim refugees.
Thankfully, the American people are finally showing signs of beginning to wake up from their politically correct stupor. The latest Reuters poll on the issue, released June 17, asked respondents, “Agree/Disagree: The United States should temporarily stop all Muslims from entering the United States.”
47.2 percent agreed with the statement, 45.5 percent disagreed, and 7.3 percent weren’t sure.
However, contrary to the wishes of most Americans, the White House is hell bent on meeting their “goal” of admitting at least 10,000 Syrian refugees this year by expediting the screening process. And it’s not just Syria – our leaders also intend to accept over 85,000 refugees from all over the world in 2016, and 100,000 more in 2017!
Supporters of the practice point out that so far no Syrian refugees have been arrested on domestic terrorism charges, and that very well may be true, at least for now. Problem is (and there are lots of problems, but here’s one), Orlando killer Omar Mateen may not have been a refugee, but he was the Muslim son of Afghan refugees admitted in the 80’s.
How many ticking time bombs must Europe and America let in before we realize that it’s not just our security that’s at stake, but our way of life as well?
