Here we go, on cue: Al Sharpton couldn’t wait to exploit the New Orleans shooting…

The shooting of a black man by police in Baton Rouge was barely reported before race hustler Al Sharpton had already announced that he was preparing to fly to Louisiana to exploit the incident for his grievance mill operations.

Sharpton’s announcement was in response to the shooting of Baton Rouge resident Alton Sterling whose videotaped shooting quickly went viral on the Internet.

The African American man was shot by police as they struggled during an attempted arrest after police responded to a disturbance call. Now Sharpton wants to exploit the shooting for his own ends and announced that he intends to go to Baton Rouge to visit the family.

“While responding to the rallying cry in Baton Rouge, I was shocked to see yet another incident in Minnesota, this time involving the death of Philando Castile by police — whose aftermath was also caught on video,” Sharpton wrote in a post at Huffington Post.

Sharpton went on to insist, “a national problem that requires national reform of police culture and the criminal justice system itself. Nothing short of that will turn this calamity around.”

“After continual death and a lack of justice, people demand action; our electeds and those running for any office must provide an adequate solution. We cannot continue to deal with each loss on a case-by-case basis,” Sharpton warns.

At the time, the response to the shooting in Baton Rouge had been peaceful, but as TheHayride.com noted, with Sharpton bringing his grievance circus to town, some feared violence may follow.

“Sharpton’s arrival heightens the concern that [the peaceful response] will change. He came up in New York as a starter of riots, after all. And his recent history has been destructive in every situation into which he’s inserted himself,” Scott McCay wrote.

While violence didn’t erupt in Baton Rouge, a terrorist-style attack that killed five police officers in Dallas on Thursday happened partly in response to the Sterling’s death. Which is cause for concern over race-baiting rhetoric.

Indeed, Sharpton has a history of inciting violence against police and once urged people to go out and start “offing pigs.”

To be sure, not everyone is assuming that the shooting of Alton Sterling was completely unjustified. African American military veteran Mike Brown, for instance, posted a Youtube video showing that Sterling was not necessarily “harmless.”

In the end, we all need to wait for the results of the coming investigation into this shooting before judgment is passed.
