As expected, the progressives, led this time by President Obama and Hillary barely waited for the bodies to cool after the latest shooting tragedy before calling for stricter gun control measures.
This time the National Rifle Association didn’t wait to respond — it fought back hard and fast.
Obama correctly referred to the mass murder at an Orlando gay nightclub as an act of terrorism,m but rather than resolving to fight terrorism, he chose to do battle with America’s gun laws.

“This massacre is therefore a further reminder of how easy it is for someone to get their hands on a weapon that lets them shoot people in “a school, or in a house of worship, or a movie theater, or in a nightclub,” ,” he said. “And we have to decide if that’s the kind of country we want to be.”
Chris Cox, the NRA’s executive director and political strategist, fired back.

Clinton also got into the act. Although she took it further than the president by actually using the term “radical ISLAM,” her answer was more of the same.
“Yes, there is a right for law-abiding, responsible Americans to own guns,” she said on CNN’s “New Day.” “And yes, there are reasonable common-sense measures to try to keep people safe from guns. We’ve got to figure out the best way to move forward on that.”
Cox tweeted:

We must defeat radical terrorists, but not resort to destroying the rights of law-abiding Americans to defend themselves. -C.C.

Obama mentioned a necessity to keep people safe in “a school, or in a house of worship, or a movie theater, or in a nightclub.”
In most instances, all these places have one thing in common — they’re usually gun-free zones.
When an armed criminal or terrorist walks into a structure of unarmed people, he’s suddenly king of the hill, and the people are sitting ducks.
