Omar Mateen, the person who shot up an Orlando gay nightclub in Sunday’s early morning hours, reportedly claimed allegiance to the Islamic State in a 911 call shortly before walking into the Pulse and killing at least 50 people and injuring more than 50.

NBC News Charlotte reported:

Adding further fuel to an already raging fire, Mateen reportedly referred to the April, 2013 Boston Marathon bombing committed by the Tsarnaev brothers in his 911 call.

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer reported:

In addition, Mateen reportedly phoned Orlando cable news station 13 and made the same claim about his allegiance to the Islamic State terrorists — in both Arabic and English.
