Liberals are always all wee-weed up, as Obama would say, about how terrible a “hostile work environment” can be, but now we see the hostile environment President Barack Obama has created between himself and the media. At least that’s what Fox News reporter James Rosen is now saying about Obama’s “authoritarian impulse” with the press.

Rosen is well known for having been harassed by Obama’s Department of Justice over his reporting on North Korea back in 2012 and 2013. And now the Fox investigator is at the center of yet another Obama controversy after he discovered Obama’s Department of State had illicitly altered the public record by removing a question he asked about Iran in a State Department press conference.

Obama’s actions were so blatant that CNN’s Jake Tapper noted the administration’s deletion of Rosen’s question from the public record amounts to lying to the American people.

“It’s not often in the annals of a modern presidency where an administration is forced to admit publicly that it has sought to censor the record of its public briefings,” Rosen told Business Insider.

Rosen went on to say the whole environment between the president and the media is toxic.

The Fox News reporter told Business Insider that the administration’s constant pursuit of leakers revealed Obama’s “authoritarian impulse,” an attitude Rosen hadn’t seen from other presidents.

“There’s no doubt that the Obama administration has maintained an animus towards Fox News and specifically towards me across the two terms,” Rosen noted.

“I can tell you as an objective fact that the conduct of the Obama administration,” Rosen continued, “from the president on down towards Fox News, has far exceeded anything that Richard Nixon ever did to the Washington Post.”

But it isn’t just Obama’s animus towards Fox News at issue. Obama has been one of the worst presidents for freedom of the press in recent history.

It must be remembered that back when Rosen was first being harassed by the administration late in 2012 and early in 2013, the administration was also caught spying on reporters of the Associated Press. Obama’s DOJ lackeys had tapped the emails and phones of over one hundred AP reporters.

It has been so bad that even left-wing TV commentator and comedian Bill Maher has complained Obama has been “perhaps the worst” president for freedom of the press.

Last week Rosen engaged in a discussion of the Iran question deletion on a special segment of a Fox News “All Star Panel” on Brett Baier’s “Special Report.”
