San Francisco Public Library Commissioner Zoe Dunning snapped off a photo at a Memorial Day ceremony, which purports to show Sen. Bernie Sanders dozing off.
Accompanying the photo she wrote: “Attending the Memorial Day Ceremony honoring the over 1 million Americans who have lost their lives serving our country, and watching Bernie Sanders fall asleep during it. There is nothing I can really add here.”
It could be that he was merely looking down at his watch or checking some notes when the picture was taken, and it should be noted that Dunning is not “feeling the Bern” — she’s in with Hillary.
Nonetheless it made for some great chuckles on social media, including an imagined message from the “147-year-old.” “I respect Veterans between naps!”
