WATCH: Topless feminists bum rush Muslim scholar at Islamic conference

Muslim scholar and philosopher Tariq Ramadan got a nasty surprise Sunday when a group of feminist activists posing in Islamic dress jumped the stage he was speaking on and stripped to the waist.

Ramadan was speaking on a panel at an Islamic conference in Le Bourget, France, when he was suddenly confronted by several pairs of bare breasts.

The women belonged to the radical feminist group FEMEN, which describes itself as “an international women’s movement of brave topless female activists painted with the slogans and crowned with flowers. The group opposes “male economic, cultural and ideological occupation.”

“FEMEN protest against the visit of fundamentalist preachers at a rally to politicize Muslims in France under the aegis of the Muslim Brotherhood! FEMEN claims that political Islam is totalitarianism, and a face of fascism!” The group said on its website introducing the video.

“FEMEN shouts loudly Allah, like any divine creation, is not a politician! The Quran is not a source of constitution! The totalitarian project of the Muslim Brotherhood is not compatible with our values of emancipation! FEMEN believes in gender equality, the rights of sexual minorities, and denounces this form of incitement to hatred under the pretext of uniting the Muslims of France!,” the group added.
