Judge Jeanine Pirro spelled it out for the Republican Party and its leadership – and the GOP establishment are probably not going to like it.
Reacting to the meeting between House Speaker Paul Ryan and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, the Fox News host said the two are not on equal ground in the Party, and questioned who made Ryan the leader of the GOP.
“Paul Ryan wasn’t elected to be anything more than a congressman,” said Pirro on Fox News’ “Outnumbered” on Friday. “So because of the position he holds, which is such a powerful position, Paul is thinking he’s on a level with Donald Trump. But Donald Trump, make no mistake, is the leader of the party right now.”
Pirro believes Ryan is losing some of his power as Trump steps into the nominee position.
“I believe that he’s losing his power,” she said, “and I think he knows that his position, right now, based upon the way that Donald comes into a room, into the campaign and into Washington, he knows that he’s on shaky ground.”
