Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton may be facing a serious challenge from Republican rival Donald Trump as a new poll indicates.

The presumptive GOP nominee is now running nearly even with Clinton, as support for him has surged according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.

While Clinton had the support of 41 percent of likely American voters, Trump’s support increased to 40 percent in the national survey which was released Wednesday. Another 19 percent were undecided in the online poll of 1,289 people conducted from Friday to Tuesday, Reuters reported.

The results indicate a significant surge for Trump since his Republican rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich dropped out of the presidential race last week. Clinton, though facing a defeat to rival Bernie Sanders in West Virginia on Tuesday, continues to be the Democratic front-runner.

Clinton has been mostly ahead of Trump in polls and had a 13 point lead over him as recently as last week, according to Reuters. The survey also indicated that the candidates’ choice for running mates would be a an important factor in voting.
