Just days after the death of WWE’s Chyna, the wrestling world braced for another blow as one of its legends made headlines for a bloody airport appearance.
Former World Wrestling Entertainment Intercontinental champion Chyna, who was in the news spotlight recently due to her untimely death, was found dead on April 20 in what was possibly a prescription drug overdose.
Days later, former professional wrestler Ric Flair found himself in the news for exhibiting ‘bizarre behavior’ at Logan International Airport in Boston, TMZ reported.
Flair, whose real name is Richard Morgan Fliehr, was reportedly bleeding from his forehead at the airport Wednesday. “It was dripping down from his head to his neck. A significant amount of blood,” said one person, according to TMZ.
Though Mass. State Police said Flair was treated for the injury and allowed to board his flight, there was no further word on how the WWE legend sustained the wound, which was originally thought to be on his hand.

Multiple witnesses said Flair was loud and obnoxious after a visit to Lucky’s Lounge at the airport, and that he was acting drunk, TMZ reported. But Airport Police Sgt. Donlon told TMZ Flair was not intoxicated and was not detained after medical personnel treated his injury.

“Ric has been working every day around the clock, including internationally, for a month straight and has injuries on his hand that were being looked into this morning,” Flair’s agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni, told TMZ Wednesday.
“While it is true Ric Flair and his buddies have been keeping airport bars in business since the 70s,” Zanoni said, Â “that was not the case at all in Boston. I just hung up with Ric, he is already on the flight and all is good.”
