Rep. Peter King is no fan of Sen. Ted Cruz — he threatened to poison himself if the Texas Republican becomes his party’s presidential nominee.

The moderate New York Republican, who has often had the moniker “RINO,” meaning “Republican in name only” thrown at him, delivered his threat Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Given that King had always been critical of Cruz, program co-host Joe Scarborough introduced the congressman as “Nassau County’s chairman for Ted Cruz for president.”

“First of all, in case anyone is confused, I am not endorsing Ted Cruz. I hate Ted Cruz,” he began. “And I think I’ll take cyanide if he got the nomination.”
