FBI Director James Comey said he does not feel pressure to wrap up the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails before the summer’s Democratic Party national convention.

“In any investigation of intense public interest, whether it involves a public figure, involves some horrific crime – San Bernardino is a great example – we feel a great sense of urgency to do it well and to do it promptly,” Comey said to reporters on Monday, according to WIVB-TV. “I wouldn’t say the concerns are any different in any of the high profile cases. And the reason is good people want to know. There’s intense interest in investigations like that.”

Touring the FBI field office in Buffalo, New York, Comey answered local reporters’ questions on the iPhone battle with Apple, terrorism threats and the ongoing FBI probe into the former secretary of state’s use of a private email server while in office.

Though he would not give any specific information about aspects of the investigation, Comey did say that doing a quality job is the agency’s priority rather than expediting the process to accommodate an election year.
