After Sen. Ted Cruz scored a victory in North Dakota Sunday, walking home with nearly 75 percent of the state’s delegates in his pocket, Donald Trump is looking ahead to Wisconsin where he predicts a big surprise in its Tuesday primary.
“Wisconsin is going to be such a big surprise on Tuesday. We are doing so well,” Trump said, according to Reuters.
And he may be right. Last week’s polls had Cruz leading Trump by 10 points. But according to the latest CBS poll, Trump has chipped that lead in half — 43 to 37 percent — with Ohio Gov. John Kasich bringing up the rear at 18 points.
Nevertheless, Cruz won 18 out of the 25 North Dakota delegates and is now focused on the Badger State.
Republican strategist Rory Cooper tweeted:
Cruz got nearly his entire slate elected. Big victory in ND. Trump whines, Cruz campaigns. https://t.co/zYw2cNWKAx

And Cruz issued this victory statement.

Although Cruz came out the big winner Sunday, Trump accused Kasich, not the Texan, of depriving him of delegates by remaining in the race.
“The problem is he’s in the way of me, not Cruz,” Trump said. “He hurts me more than he hurts Cruz.”
Kasich used social media to fire back at Trump.
That’s not how our republic works, Donald.
We’ll keep fighting until someone reaches a majority of delegates. https://t.co/I0YlmYfF79
