A video going viral on YouTube shows an African American student at San Francisco State University haggling a white male student about his hairstyle.

Calling it an act of cultural appropriation, the young female identified as Bonita Tindle argued that having that dreadlocked hairstyle wasn’t his right because it is not native to his white culture, SF Weekly reported.

The white male, Corey Goldstein, told Tindle the hairstyle comes from Egypt.

“Are you Egyptian?” Goldstein sarcastically asked before cutting her off, “Nah.”

“Are you Egyptian?” Tindle shot back. “Wait, where’s Egypt? Tell me. Where’s Egypt?” she asked as she grabbed at Goldstein.

“Yo, girl. Stop touching me,” Goldstein told her.

While still unaware she was on camera, Tindle prevents Goldstein from walking away, and when he tries to move her from blocking him, she repeatedly tells him “Don’t put your hands on me.”

Goldstein wrote on his Facebook page that he filed a police report and was “just really shaken up” over the incident, SF weekly reported.

The university has claimed to have opened up an investigation into the incident.
