Why atheists plan to brand Noah’s ark theme park as ‘Genocide and Incest’ park on billboards

In response to a biblically-themed amusement park set to open Kentucky in the summer, a local atheist group is planning to erect billboards along the way referring to it as the “Genocide and Incest Park.”

The biblical theme park, called Ark Encounter, will feature a full-size 200,000 square foot replica of Noah’s ark.

Although the atheist group, called Tri-State Freethinkers, admits that the developers have a right to build their park, it nonetheless claims that the Old Testament story of Noah’s ark is both “immoral” and “highly inappropriate for children.”

But genocide and incest is OK for kids?

Not entirely — the group just insists that happens to be a theme in the Bible.

“In Genesis Chapters 6-9, the God of the Bible was unhappy with man, so he decided to kill every living thing, except for one family and two of each animal,” Jim Helton, president of the Tri-State Freethinkers, told The Huffington Post in an email.

“We see no other way to look at this other than mass genocide. This is the second time that incest was used to populate the world. We are taught this story as children as a fun story, as a good story, filled with animals and a boat. People rarely take a look at the actual story because when they do, they realize how immoral it is.”

A lot of people on social media weren’t buying it.

Here’s a video of Tri-State Freethinkers’ argument. Below that is a video depicting the construction of the ark.
