INTENSE new video surrounding anti-government rancher’s shooting death raises questions about FBI

New details have emerged, including intense footage, raising doubts of the credibility of FBI agents on the scene of the Oregon shooting of anti-government activist Robert “LaVoy” Finicum, and casting a shadow over the FBI’s elite Hostage Rescue Team.

The five FBI agents who were on the scene when Finicum was shot and killed by Oregon State Police officers initially denied having taken part in the January 26 shooting when authorities stopped two vehicles containing leaders of the activist group.

Last week, Deschutes County Sheriff Shane Nelson, who is investigating the incident, determined that “FBI HRT operators fired two shots as Mr. Finicum exited the truck, and one shot hit the truck,” according to The Washington Post.

As a result, Nelson concluded that the agents failed to “disclose their shots to our investigators.”

After the shooting death of Finicum and the arrest of eight other activists, an Oregon State Police officer told investigators that he noticed two copper-colored bullet casings in the vicinity of where the agents were congregated.

Oregon State Police use silver-colored casings; the Hostage Rescue Team uses copper-colored casings, according to a former FBI agent. No copper-colored casings were recovered by investigators working the scene.

If allegations of a cover up by FBI agents concealing evidence are proven, this could be embarrassing for the agency and a black eye for its Hostage Rescue Team.

The highly-trained team was formed following the 1972 Munich Olympic Games massacre in which 11 Israeli Olympic team members were taken hostage and eventually murdered by members of Palestine’s Black September.

The Oregon State Police officers who admitted firing the six shots that killed Finicum have been cleared of any wrongdoing. The activist refused to comply to their orders and reportedly reached for his weapon.

One agent is reportedly accused of firing the two shots resulting in the copper-colored casings, and the remaining four are reportedly accused of taking part in the coverup.
