Rev. Franklin Graham said he doesn’t have any faith inĀ Republicans, Democrats or any political party.
“The only hope for this country is God,” Graham said Wednesday onĀ “Fox and Friends.” “We have taken God out of the political debate. We’ve taken Him out of the public space. And I want to put Him back in.”
Aimed at getting Christian voters out to the polls, the “Decision America Tour,” launched by the son of evangelist Billy Graham, is travelling toĀ all 50 state capitals. The goal of the bus tour, he said, was to get people to pray and get involved in politics at all levels.
“I want Christians to run for office, and I want them to vote,” said Graham, who is CEOĀ of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Graham admitted he is not endorsing any candidate and is no longer part of the Republican party. “I’m just fed up,” he said, adding that voting patterns in this election cycle are proving that Americans are also “fed up with Washington and the status quo and the insiders.”
Voters want “honesty, but they also wantĀ strong leadership,” he added.
