Sen. Marco Rubio observed Thursday night that if Donald Trump were to ever build a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border and have Mexico pay for it — a claim that has been the hallmark of his campaign — he’d use illegal aliens to do so.
“If he builds the wall the way he built Trump Towers he’ll be using illegal immigrant labor to do it,” the Florida Republican said at the CNN GOP presidential debate.
“So cute,” was the GOP presidential front-runner’s sarcastic response. “Such a cute soundbite.”
“It’s not a sound bite,” Rubio shot back. “Go online and Google it. Donald Trump, Polish workers — you’ll see it.”
