Tom Ricketts, owner of the Chicago Cubs, said Wednesday that he found it “surreal” to have his mother threatened by Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.
On Monday, the real estate baron tweeted:
I hear the Rickets family, who own the Chicago Cubs, are secretly spending $’s against me. They better be careful, they have a lot to hide!

Trump was referring to $3 million that Marlene Ricketts, the owner’s mother, donated to an anti-Trump PAC, The Associated Press reported.
“It’s a little surreal when Donald Trump threatens your mom,” Ricketts told reporters at the Cubs’ spring training camp in suburban Phoenix, Arizona.
