Criticism followed Wednesday’s White House announcement that President Obama would not be attending Justice Antonin Scalia’s funeral this weekend.
While the decision drew sharp comments from many in the media, both liberal and conservative, Fox News’ Andrea Tantaros had a scathing response, and slammed Obama as “not worthy” of attending the service.
Scalia was fiercely committed to the Constitution. Obama’s committed to undermining it. He’s not worthy of attending https://t.co/8eDrM5xy9l

It seems many on social media agreed.

.@AndreaTantaros Scalia family is fortunate not to have the memory of a great man passing, diminished by a small man begrudgingly attending.

@AndreaTantaros @dcexaminer I wouldn’t let him in on Friday if I was a family member of Justice Scalia. Sorry, you’re not on the list POTUS

@AndreaTantaros @dcexaminer It should be about Scalia, if O went, it would become all about the narcissist in chief.

@AndreaTantaros its for the best that Obama doesn’t go so he can’t ruin it and make it all about himself.

@AndreaTantaros @chris63414391 I was thinking the exact same thing. Obama isn’t worthy of spit shining Scalia’s shoes.

@AndreaTantaros @dcexaminer You can bet your sweet bootie if the Justice that passed away were a Liberal he would be attending….

@AndreaTantaros @dcexaminer I guess it interferes with his golf schedule.

The White House did clarify that Obama would attend a service on Friday for Scalia. The funeral on Saturday will be attended by Vice President Biden and his wife.
Tantaros followed her tweet with another post pointing out why it’s best for Obama to sit this one out.
The last time Obama attended a major funeral. Maybe it’s better he sits Scalia’s out. Michelle would probably agree. pic.twitter.com/LRgS19uSbL
