Young Bernie Sanders supporters squirm; can’t define ‘socialism’

Young Bernie Sanders supporters apparently don’t have a clue as to what the self-described socialist stands for, and given that more than 90 percent of youth call Sanders their candidate of choice is enough to make you want to bang your head against the wall.

CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin was interviewing supporters at a Sanders rally Monday. Each was given an opportunity to talk in glowing terms on what they liked about the independent senator from Vermont.

But what followed was at once both uproariously funny and terribly sad. When Baldwin asked them to define socialism, all she got were embarrassed smiles.

Here’s the full clip, Baldwin asks the question at about the 2:20 mark.

Can’t get enough of that last one? The Washington Free Beacon editors thought so too and posted a Vine so that you can see it repeated over and over again until you go totally bonkers. Their tweet got a lot of response.

Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum reported Monday that 91 percent of Iowa Democrats below the age of 30 are Sanders supporters.

President Ronald Reagan once said that “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” We may have found that generation.

Here’s a clip of her report.
