Joy Behar had some advice for Bernie Sanders on Friday.
Stop calling yourself a socialist because people are too dumb to understand what that means.
“He calls himself a socialist. He’s just a liberal. He’s a liberal. He’s as liberal as Obama,” the co-host of ABC’s “The View” said. “I don’t know why he has the label on himself. I mean, people don’t understand what he says when he says he’s a socialist. He’s not going to nationalize all the industries. He’s not going to make the state own industries.”
Behar is an unabashed liberal who has shown support for both Clinton and Sanders, even going so far as to say she found Sanders sexy.
But she wondered why Sanders was beating Hillary and how he got the anti-establishment tag.
“He’s been in the Senate much longer than she. He’s more establishment than she is.”
